The forms are off! You can still see the rebar sticking out from the top of the foundation wall like we saw last time. Once we're ready for the second foundation wall pour, the rebar will end up covered.

It's pretty cool to see the house starting to come out of the ground. The footers are now dry enough, so the foundation wall forms were set in place and the concrete was poured.
We are officially under construction! Pancake and I are standing in what will eventually be our yard - it will be 4 feet lower when we're done, but for now, it's a great perch to watch the progress from.
If there’s dirt, and an opportunity to run, my kids are there. They loved running around the excavated lot. For a bit of foreshadowing, they're running around our eventual basement in the picture above.

Starting with the ones being used to take our trees down...
In a previous post, I walked you through Phase 1 of a remodeling project, where we figure out what CAN be done with your space. In this post, we will focus on Phase 2 of the process, which is where we figure out what WILL be done. It’s where the conceptual space plan gets real-world details.

At the same time though, he’s nervous; he is making a large investment that will impact how he lives in his home, and potentially how and when he can sell it. However, he doesn't know enough about the remodeling process to know what to ask. Luckily for you, you’ll never be like that guy because you have me.
Pretty descriptive title, right? Well whether you’re looking to build a house on your new land, a new family room addition, remodel a kitchen, or repair an old porch, you have options. And those options are largely dependent on the type of thing you are building.
