No matter how large the scope of your project or how many of our services are involved, the process stays simple. Three steps, one team, and a commitment to understanding your why before we ever touch a floor plan.

1 - Find your why
Before we ever put pen to paper (hmmm, mouse to screen?), we need to understand why you called to begin with. Not the surface-level why either. The real why. The deep-down-didn't-even-know-it-yourself why.
We like to start that conversation informally, normally over coffee or tea. No presentations, no sales pitch. Just a genuine conversation about what's working in your home, what isn't, and what "happy" looks like for you. This is the first step in a process we call DesignCOMPASS. It includes three tools that help us get to the heart of your project: The 5-Why Exercise digs beneath the surface to uncover the real emotion driving your project. You might think you need a bigger house, but after five "whys," we often discover the real issue is something much more specific and solvable. Heat Maps give us a color-coded picture of how you actually use your home, which spaces get the most traffic, which ones are underutilized, and where the opportunity is. The Future Test helps you feel confident about the big decisions before you commit. It imagines two versions of your future self and helps you discover which path you'd rather live. 2 - Design it together
Once we understand your why, we move into design. And this is where it gets fun.
We take your goals, your inspiration, and your priorities, and distill them through our areas of expertise to develop 2-3 big-picture concepts. We review those together, discuss pros and cons, and collaborate on iterations until we arrive at one cohesive plan. What makes this different from the traditional process? RealTIME Design.
