Kids have access to all kinds of interesting after-school activities - they can learn about art, gymnastics, coding, chess, karate, and lots of other cool things. Why isn't architecture one of those options?! Now it is.
Welcome to Studio DH, Designed Happy's take on an after-school activity where kids can learn about architecture and design.
Studio DH is modeled after a collegiate architecture program, often called Studio (fun fact: not only did TJ attend architecture school at CUA, he also taught architecture there). We've taken the best parts of Studio (iterative process, design thinking, public speaking) and used them to create this class. We've left the not-so-great parts (crazy workload, high-stress, all-nighters) for the college students.
Studio DH is split into 2 semesters - one in the fall and one in the spring. The specifics of each semester will change, but our overarching goals will remain the same. By the end of each semester your child will:

Studio DH is open to kids in grades 3-7, and is held from 5-6pm at our office in Kensington.
