In May of 2011 Pancake and I took a trip to Spain. Like any good travelers, we wanted to experience the culture as much as possible, and a large part of that experience is done through food and drink. Long story short, we just about ate and drank our weight in paella and mojitos.
Welcome to September, the unofficial start of fall. Welcome to crisp air and changing leaves. Welcome to sweater weather. And welcome to comfort food season. You're going to want to bookmark this page - you'll be making this slightly smoky, slightly sweet, totally satisfying (and healthy) meal a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

Ah, the chicken salad sandwich...the quintessential savory, crunchy, tangy, perfectly satisfying lunchtime fare. I used to eat these delectable delicatessen staples daily, but had to bid them adieu when we chose the veg life (PS...I adore alliteration).
Looking for a healthy snack? How does olive oil popcorn with rosemary garlic salt sound to you? Sounded pretty good to me too. You're probably wondering where you might procure such a thing. As it turns out, from your kitchen, because popcorn is super easy to make! Who knew?! Not me.
We've been vegetarians since June of 2013. We were never really big meat eaters....I have a bunch of weird food allergies that limited me to basically white meat chicken and turkey, so eating meat was a once or twice a week kind of thing for us.
One night after putting Stinky Face to bed, Pancake and I decided to watch Food Inc. Soon after that we watched Forks over Knives, and then Vegucated. And just like that, we were vegetarians. All it took were some food allergies and 3 documentaries.
