In our last Welcome Home post we took a look at the lounge and I got sappy. This time, let's get straight to the goods. We're checking out the primary bathroom...
From the primary bedroom looking into the bathroom:
Moving into the bathroom, you see we have a white on white on white motif going with the countertops (and waterfall edge), floor tile, wall tile, and paint:
It's not until you turn the corner a bit that you see the pop of blue on the cabinets:
The flooring is porcelain that looks like marble. Generally, designers would tell you to put a matte finish on the floor in the bathroom to reduce the chance that you'd slip. We don't subscribe to that line of thinking though. For us, the glossy tile looks waaaaaaaay better than the matte, so we went with what we loved and are just a bit more careful when we step out of the shower or tub. Speaking of the shower and tub:
That's an air bubble tub. Sort of like an old jacuzzi, but since it doesn't recirculate the water, you don't have to worry about things getting gunky. So how does it work? There are a ton of little holes in the back and bottom of the tub that air gets shot through. Awesomeness. And how 'bout a close-up of the shower...
Saying I love this shower doesn't do my feelings justice. The keypads on the wall are the controls for the shower. There is one inside and another outside, and they talk to each other! That means we can turn the shower on and adjust the temperature without ever having to open the door. Then when we're in the shower, we can use the second keypad to adjust the temperature or change which fixture (or combination) is on. It's so good, we should look at it from another angle:
One more view of the bathroom, just for fun:
There you have it - the primary bathroom.
