Ages: Studio DH is open to kids in grades 3-7.
Dates: Spring Semester 2024 runs from early March to early May.
Class date are: 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2
Please note, for MCPS spring break, we do not have class on 3/28
Time: Each class is one hour, from 5pm-6pm
Size: Class size is capped at 12 students.
Presentation: Every semester ends with students presenting their project to the audience. Please plan to be in attendance. Due to size constraints in the office, please limit audience to a max of 2 people per student. We will record the entire presentation and put it on youtube, so anyone who wasn't able to attend can still watch the presentation and give students the kudos they deserve.
Materials: Everything will be provided. The only things students need to bring are a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Location: Class is in-person and held at the Designed Happy office. The address is 10524 Detrick Ave, Kensington, MD 20895. We are on the 2nd floor, and accessible only by stairs.
Parking: There is public street parking on the opposite side of the street from our building. There is also a public parking lot where Five Guys is.
Policies:
Photo Release - We will occasionally take photos and video during classes for promotional material. By signing up for Studio DH, you are granting Designed Happy permission to use and share these photos and videos as we deem appropriate.
NBC4 - There will be a segment on Studio DH being recorded during our April 18th class. Everyone in the class that day will likely be visible when the segment airs. By signing up for Studio DH, you are granting permission to NBC to use this video as they deem appropriate.
Cancellation - Since we limit class size, we cannot offer refunds once you purchase your seat. All sales are final.
Missed classes - If your child misses a class, we will do our best to share a summary of that week's information with you. We cannot offer make-up classes or refunds.
Pickup - Pickup is at 6pm. Traffic around the office can back up, so please plan accordingly. We do our best to respect your time and our students time - we appreciate you respecting ours.
