The Fit Score
You’re “supposed to” talk to 3 service professionals before you hire one, right? BUT, how are you actually supposed to compare them?
Most people end up going with a gut feeling: “They seem like a good fit.”
And honestly, that’s not 100% wrong. It’s just not very clear, and what if your gut leads you astray?
The Fit Score gives you a simple way to compare professionals using the things that matter most to you, without overthinking it (or doing math).
Watch the podcast episode above for a full walkthrough.
If you want to jump right in, here’s how to use the tool:
How to use The Fit Score:
(1) Score each professional separately
Every professional/company you interview should get their own Fit Score.
(2) Every person fills out their own score
Each person in your household should fill out a Fit Score for each professional.
Example: 2 people x 3 professionals = 6 completed Fit Scores
(3) Keep your Weights consistent
Your Weight is how important a category is to you, and it should stay the same for every professional.
Example: If Personality is extremely important to you, you might give it a Weight of 5 every time.
(4) Change only the Grades
As the professionals change, your Grades will change based on how each meeting goes.
So your Weight might stay a 5, but the Grade could be different for each person you interview.
Tip: Think of the Weight as what matters most to you, and
the Grade as how well this professional matched it.
(5) Save a PDF after each conversation
This helps you remember how you felt when it was fresh.
(6) Compare notes only after you’ve finished
If you have more than one person in the household, complete your Fit Scores first, then compare.
No politicking.
(7) Use the results to have the right conversation
If you all end up with the same professional scoring highest, easy...hire them.
If you don’t, talk through:

FYI...if you want to save a PDF at the end, the formatting looks better if you're using a computer.
