Now that the introductions are out of the way, let me officially welcome you to :Designed Happy. Thank you so much for visiting, I very much appreciate your time.
OK, so why are we here? I'm not asking existentially, but literally, why are we here...on this site....right now?
I'm here because I'm a designer. Designing houses is really the only thing I can ever remember wanting to do (other than playing center field for the Yankees - spoiler alert, I didn't get much farther than little league). As a kid, legos were my gateway to residential design. Legos eventually turned into cardboard models of houses. Cardboard models turned into drafting classes in high school. And drafting classes turned into two degrees in Architecture from The Catholic University of America.
Well over a decade of practical experience later, and I still love houses, but more importantly, I've found that I love helping people love their houses. It's not just for my love of residential design, but because if I do my job right, I've changed the way my clients live, and hopefully made them happier in the process (this is where the whole :Designed Happy thing comes into play).
